Greetings Brothers, families, and friends of Friendship Tuscan Lodge #145. As I sit here writing this message, the weather has warmed up a bit, from 10 to 40 degrees, and all the snow has melted. The temperature this time of year can be so up and down, as so many of our lives are. We all should always remember, that part of our obligation is to help, aid and assist where and when we can. One of my initiatives this year is to bring our lodge family closer by having a Brother reach out to those Brothers we haven’t seen in a while.
Recently we portrayed our first degree of the year. It was wonderful to see the Brothers work together performing a fantastic MM Degree. Everyone worked extremely hard and had a lot of fun during the rehearsals.
In January, a group of us gathered together for the first Lodge of Fun to enjoy a wide variety of wings and beverages. In February, the Brothers and Ladies enjoyed a Valentine’s lodge of fun dinner at a local restaurant. I hope to see many more of you joining us at the upcoming Lodge of Fun nights for a great night of community and fellowship. If anyone has a suggestion for a night out please let me know. I am always open for ideas.
The next few months are going to be very busy. In March, we have our Annual Irish Night event with the Golden Harp dancers. This event is being run by Brother Brad Young. On Palm Sunday, the Annual Pancake Festival will be run by Brother Jordan Porcher. Look for the flyers in the mail. Each of these Brothers will be looking for volunteers to help with the events. I hope to see you there.
During our first business meeting on April 5th, Brother Gary Arseneau, RW Past Grand Master, will be hosting Masonic Jeopardy. The last time this game was played at the lodge the Past Masters’ years of experience were challenged by the sharp minds of the younger Craft. Everyone learned something new that night and had a great time doing it.
To continue on the theme of communication, I know a large number of you are participating in the Facebook community so please request to be a member of the Friendship Tuscan Lodge #145 group (our group is not open to the public). Also, please forward your updated contact information to the secretary of the lodge. We are looking forward to seeing you at the upcoming events.
The building committee is looking for Brothers to help. Remember Brothers that many hands make light work.
The Annual Lodge Trip flyer has been sent out by snail mail and is attached to the electronic Trestle Board. From May 18 thru May 20, 2018 we will be traveling to King Hiram’s Lodge in Provincetown. Please RSVP to Stephen Spencer or myself with your reservation and deposit.
