Brothers as fall gave us a premonition of winter, Spring is forcing winter to relent, once again, to the new beginnings of soft greens, longer light, and the sweet air of spring. This is the season of rebirth, and we as Masons should be inspired to look for ways to improve ourselves and to help others.

As in the past, our annual Irish Night was started by the wonderful display of talent by students of the Golden Harp Irish Dance Company. This was followed by a fantastic homemade, corned beef, cabbage, and potato dinner. There were a large number of Brothers, Wives, and Families in attendance including RW Grand Master Theodore Nelson. Thank you, Brother Brad Young (Junior Deacon) and Lady Claire for all your hard work to make this event such a success.

This year was our 53rd annual Pancake Festival. Thank you to all that came and those that helped. I would also like to thank our Senior Deacon, Jordan Porcher, and his team for their tireless efforts to ensure that everything went off without a hitch.

Over the past months the Brothers and I have traveled to a number of lodges including, Excelsior #3 in Hartford, Columbia #25 in Glastonbury, Fayette #69 in Ellington, Hartford Evergreen #88 in South Windsor, and Essex Lodge in Salem MA. There will be much more traveling to come, so join us for a night out of fun and Fellowship. Also, in the fall, at the Harford Evergreen #88 Barn degree, we will be performing the Builders Lodge portion of the MM degree.

The first meeting in April brought a fun filled evening of Masonic Jeopardy with Brother Gary Arseneau, RW Past Grand Master.

Our Senior Warden, Brother Gabe Garmendia, has established a website for the purchase of Friendship Tuscan Lodge #145 apparel. The link is Just click the link and swipe left on until you find the FTL #145 logo. Once you do click on our logo you will be brought to the page with our custom apparel.

Looking at the calendar for the upcoming months, you will see that there are many more opportunities to spend time with your Brothers at a variety of functions.

Planning for the Lodge Trip to visit King Hiram’s Lodge in May is progressing. W.B. Steve Spencer and I have visited King Hiram’s a number of times and were made most welcome. We currently have 30 people going and there is still room, but it’s going fast. If you can make it, please do. It is going to be an unforgettable trip.

On May 3rd WB John Pierce will be doing a talk on the Esoteric Side of Freemasonry. Be sure to join us for what I am sure will be and enlightening discussion.

Don’t forget to forward your updated contact information to the secretary of the lodge and we are looking forward to seeing you at the upcoming events.
